Gairloch Aid & Mobility Support are a local charity covering the Gairloch, Aultbea & surrounding communities of Wester Ross which provides a number of services, this includes improving the physical and mental well-being of individuals through provision of social outings, cross generation events, fall prevention classes and operating an accessible community minibus. They also provide loans of mobility and daily living aids to allow people to remain in their home for longer or return from hospital earlier.
The feasibility study looked at the provision of a fully accessible building which would enable them to provide services that met the community’s needs now and into the future. The design included therapy rooms, general activity hall, fitness suite, training kitchen & external sensory garden.
